Brief introduction to the company:
The company started from 1980 and put into operation in October 1981. It was expanded in 1986 with a production capacity of 80,000 tons of beer per year. The company is a medium-sized state-owned company with an overall staff of 1,250 including 211 technical professionals, 6 senior technicians and 27 mid-level ones. In 1997, the company produced beer of 73,671 tons, with an output value of 98.3 million yuan and sales value of 125.47 million yuan. Its profit tax reached 31.02 million uan and net profit 7.03 million yuan.
Achievements of the CP audit:
43 CP options have been developed including 38 non/low cost options and 5 mid/high cost options. Most of the options focus on source reduction, whole process control or materials reusing and recycling. All of the non/low cost options have been implemented and gained considerable environmental and economic benefits. During the 6 months of CP audit, the company saved 255,000 tons of water, 139,000 kwh of power, 46 tons of coal and 79.9 tons of grains. The loss of bottles was reduced by 424,500. 1.5 million of used bottles and 23,000 packaging bags were recovered. All of these have saved 684,400 yuan. Development of new product increased the sales value by 82,000 yuan and the production of beer by 286 tons, which generated an economic benefit of 380,400 yuan. In total the implementation of the CP options has created economic benefit of 1.06 million yuan. Meanwhile discharge of waste solid was reduced by 185 tons, wastewater by 355,000 tons and COD by 510 tons.
