Cleaner Production (Pollution Prevention) in China -- Case Studies, Audits and Manuals

Case studies are reports produced to show what kinds of changes are most helpful in producing desired results such as resource savings, waste reduction and economic benefits. Most case studies give details about a specific factory, with "before and after" statistics. Case studies have been found to be a very effective means of showing the benefits of adopting Cleaner Production principles.

Audit manuals are detailed guides for identifying all the environmental impacts made by an institution so that changes to processes andpractices can be assessed and implemented. They may also assess the level of compliance to relevant legislation and guidelines such as ISO 14000. Audit manuals apply to a specific sector or industry. See also Environmental Audits.

Fact sheets are summaries of case studies or compilations of results from a number of related studies which show the benefits of a policy or procedure.
